 Hello. Soulful listening. Is it Sonja welcome back to the show. Today, let’s talk about how to fulfill your goals without working harder. Radical concept, right?

I’m talking about this today because I recently had a wonderful experience with a client who had the opportunity to fulfill one of her goals. And she was so amazed that she was able to do it using the plan that we created when we first got together as part of her intake and she was blown away because I told her in the very beginning, yeah, you’re going to be surprised because you’re not going to actually need to do more. Which she was thrilled to hear because she wanted to grow her business but she didn’t have the energetic capacity to, to work more. And quite frankly, she just didn’t want to.

And I love that. I love what my clients think are challenges really aren’t challenges for me because I’m able to have this very like Eagle eyes perspective and ability to problem solve for them or with them. But also in a very intuitive way. And so it makes my job as their coach, rather, like, coming up with a plan is really simple. Right? Of course the work is in the implementation of the plan. And it’s awesome because I get to support my clients in that way as well in our coaching containers, which generally, are three, six or 12 months.

And so I want to share with you all, if you have a goal, or a couple of goals that you are hyper-focused on right now, and you’re really dedicated to fulfilling, I want you to know that you can do it, and it does not require that you, you know, go balls to the walls. In order to get there. . So, let me just start off. And say this because I think that that is the. Number one misconception about. Reaching goals, you know, getting what you want, fulfilling your desires is that, oh, I’m going to, I need to work more. Um, Listen. I want to tell you right now, if you are doing that, if you have this goal in mind and what you’ve done to. Get yourself there. Expeditiously. To soundbite. NTI expeditiously. It is to like, oh, I’m going to work harder. I want you to stop that right. Stop working harder. Especially when you’re doing. What you’ve been doing. Right. So if you are working. Harder. If you’re doing more of what you’ve been doing. In order to fulfill your goals. You’re actually working against yourself.

So let’s say you had a goal to, um, have a greener lawn, right. And what you’ve been doing for the last two months or the last six months to get your lawn greener. Is it you’ve been watering it.

You know, twice a week. And then you like come to this moment where you’re like, you know what, I’m really going to get serious about getting my lawn , greener. And so I’m going to. Harder my lawn.

Six times a week. And then you water it six times a week and you, you’re not really seeing too much change. And so then your. Next plan of action is now I’m going to water it 10 times a week. That’s what I mean. If watering the grass more was the only solution was the thing that was holding your lawn. Back from becoming greener, it would have been green already are y’all following me. Y’all know, I love a good analogy. I’ll come up with the wildest analogies ever, but that’s what I mean. If you just keep doing what you’ve been doing and you double down on that. Even though you have evidence that that is not working for you. Stop the answer is not to work harder. Right. You guys you’re really actually working against yourself.

You know, there’s a lot of emotional and energetic. Things happening in the background when you’re working towards. A goal, a desire, something that you just really covered it. First of all, it’s a lot. Of. Sort of mental gymnastics for some people to even get on board with the idea that what. You’re going after, or your goal is really possible for you, right? It’s really easy for us to see how it’s possible for others. Um, we get excited for others. Maybe, you know, you’re not at that stage. Maybe you’re really sort of low key. Envious or jealous sometimes, um, when other people are going after their things and that’s not a dig at you. I actually believe that when you’re jealous, when you have the feeling of jealousy or envy, that’s actually a good thing for you to pay attention to because it’s usually a signal that, that is something on some level that you desire yourself.

But just getting your mindset on board with the fact that it’s possible for you. That for some people is like the first hurdle, but then after you do that, you know, and because you’ve done that work, you don’t want to add more. Strain to it, right. We want to get to our goals and we want to do it. We know it’s going to require effort. If you don’t know that, I’ll tell you it isn’t going to require effort. Um, you will have to work. You may have to work a lot, but I don’t believe you have to work harder. Okay. And why it feels harder for a lot of people it’s because they are doing things like this. They’re doubling down on some things that they’ve been doing, not realizing that that’s not the solution. Um, and as a matter of fact, even before I even start working with clients, when you book a sales call with me, that’s one of the first things that I go over, in a sales call with potential clients is tell me what you’ve been doing. Like, tell me what is going on with you.

Um, tell me what it is that you want or that you are unsure about or you feel stuck with. And then it’s like, tell me what you’ve been doing. Because when I know what you’ve been doing already. I instantly. Can check that off the list so that when we start working together, we’re not wasting time doing what you’ve already done, because clearly if that was working or if that was going to get you where you needed to be, you’d be there by now, right? So that shaved so much time , and an effort out of. Helping my clients achieve their goals is because we start off from day one, not even focused on or repeating things that haven’t worked. And it also. You know, sometimes we just, I think it’s, um, at least for me, when someone can show me a perspective that I’ve not been able to see before. That in itself is like, oh, it’s a breath of fresh air. Like, oh, okay. I didn’t even think about it. And that’s a very exciting energy. Right. And that exciting energy helps us, move toward taking action. In a, in a, in a better way. Right? Because now we’re excited about the actions we’re going to take. We’re excited about the work that we’re going to do. Versus like, oh God. Not that again. Right now more of that. And I think that most people.

Continue to do. Something that it’s not even proven or showing that it works because I think we have, I’m pretty sure we’ve been conditioned. To just think like, it’s just that you’re not doing enough of a thing and you’re not doing it right. Which is BS in my opinion, right. Um, Another way. That you can fulfill your goals without working harder. Is to use your divine, given strengths, talents, and gifts. So that they can support you in the work that is required to get you the results, the goal. The desire, the thing that you want. All right. I’m going to repeat that. Start using. Your divine, given strengths, talents, and gifts to support you in the work required to get you the goal.

This tag’s right along with what I was just saying. When you are.

Moving towards something and you’re doing it in a way.

That feels exciting. Um, More of a, so you’re still lifting, right? Because I told you fulfilling your goals, you will, it will require work. It will require effort, right? So you will exercise effort. In this process, but what of the effort you were using? I was like, oh, okay. I’m really good at. Speaking to people in person about my business. And so. How can I incorporate speaking to. People in person as a way to grow my business. How can I do more of that. . To get me, you know, To facilitate. Me getting to my goal. Um, another example could be. What if your gift is.

You know, Some people like my husband has the type that. He uses physical.

And being physical, like working out and working out hard. It’s almost like I talk a lot about how, what you do on one area is. Generally how you’re going to show up in most other areas of your life. So for him, You know, when he is working towards something that is a challenge for him. He challenges himself. Physically in his daily workout. So his workout routine gets a little more. Difficult or challenging for him because when he can push himself in that physical way, he can then push himself. In achieving a goal that is not physically related. Um, and that’s sort of like how he’s Sykes his self out or how he gets his mind on board, right. With his heart’s desire with the goal that he wants. Right. And so when you use these natural. God given strengths, right? Talents. Gifts abilities.

Using that as the support versus working against the grain. And doing things that just don’t serve you. And I almost, I paused there because I almost wanted to say, um, things that don’t feel good. Everything about achieving whatever goal or getting to a place of fulfillment or getting to a place where you feel happy getting to a point in your existence where you don’t feel stuck. Every part of it won’t feel fun. But it can feel. Exciting. It can feel like, oh, I’m making progress. Um, I am going to exert energy. I am going to use effort. I am going to work. I may have to work. More than what I’m working now in certain areas, I may need to work on my mindset more. I may need to, work on

My habits, you know, I may need to work on creating a new habit. So that I can do the actions that get me to that goal that get me to that place of, Contentment that place of peace, that place of general. Joy, you know, even when life is lifeing like, whatever your goal is. Understanding that you’re going to have. Those moments.

Is not to say that I just don’t want, I guess what I’m saying is I just don’t like when people. I think that every aspect needs to be fun and it needs to feel warm and fuzzy in order for you to achieve a goal. And on the flip side people generally have a lot of all or nothing. So it’s either I need to feel warm and cozy and fuzzy about every little thing and fill it up all the time.

And. Ooh. In order for me to fulfill the goal or achieve the desire. Right. Or they feel like, um, I know I gotta grind. I’m gonna have to hustle. I’m gonna have to get the shit done, like regardless. Blah, blah, blah. Like it’s that energy and I’m saying. It can flow between the two of those, and it is very possible. To live. In the gray to get to your goal while being in the, in the middle of both of those two very stark contrast. Sting. Thoughts. Right. And the actions that come with those thoughts and the feelings that come from those thoughts. So, use your natural gifts and talents.

, my client that I was talking about when I first started the episode,, for her. She was like, I, again, I, I don’t have the energy. And I don’t really see the time and my schedule and I don’t really want to, work harder in order to grow my business. And what we were able to identify In her intake process. And like the first two sessions of us working together. We were able to identify like where her natural gifts and talents, where were her super powers were in terms of. Generating new clients for her business. She’s a therapist , building out a coaching program. And for her, it wasn’t social media. Heavy. Presence. That was not her way. That was not her superpower and actually from an energetic standpoint, For her, it was her energy. Right. It was creating a lot of the blocks or challenges that she felt or that she had experienced in growing her business and for her an actuality. What she needed to do was just to have a calmer. Energetic Demeano. To not allow herself to get lost in. Thoughts of scarcity and thoughts of. , Lac. And when she was able to be in that energy and just put effort into.

Generating clients. She was actually able to attract clients. Or her first client in this case that she had been trying to attract for six months and couldn’t do, but was able to do within two weeks of us working together.

She needed to give herself permission. Use her natural gifts and talents is what I’m getting at. And for her that looked like. Being amazing at the work that she does. Talking to people about what she does, people in real life. You know, And accessing the folks that were already around her. And just telling them this new thing that she was doing. That is her. Super power. That is her natural gift and talent. And when I work with clients I can glean from your experiences in life and where you have had wins. And help you identify like where your superpowers are, where your natural gifts and talents are. And she was able to attract clients. Because she tapped into that. Versus the six months before her working with me, she was very much, um, doing work that Has been successful for others, but just was not her way. And she kept working harder and trying to do that more and more and more . And it just wasn’t working. And so imagine the frustration she was in when she first reached out to me. And I was like, I promise we can do this. You can do this without doing that. And it was such a win for her to get that first client, but she had been trying to, um, attract for the previous six months. And she was able to do that within two weeks without working harder. Without working harder. I mean, she was just, she was elated, right. She could not believe. That she got that first client and she’s gone on since, two. Attracting to additional clients. In less than three months where she has been six months trying to do this. So I wanted to share that with you all, because you know, me sharing my stories, I. You know, I know you guys get a lot of. Inside and.

You know, you feel some sort of way, and you can see again, you can see like, oh, it was possible for Sonia, but I want to show you that it’s not just possible for me, my strategies, and the way that I help you create and Polish up your own internal strategies that you don’t even notice that you have. It will work when you allow yourself to advocate for yourself. And then, you know, just do the work. The simple work. I won’t say it’s always easy, but the simple word. To get you. To where you want to be. Because, you know what. Working hard. It doesn’t always work. To get you to your goals.
