Whether you’re filled with excitement and have your New Year planner filled with color coded plans, or you don’t have a clue about what you want in the upcoming year yet, the most important thing to do is to trust where you are in your process.
New Year Goals Are Very Personal
Everybody’s got an opinion about what you should be doing, planning or feeling as you wrap up another year, but this is truly a personal experience to undergo.
For most ambitious people (and especially those of us with anxiety) planning feels like a great way to calm your nerves because “the plan” gives you a sense of security.
While others find timelines too rigid to stick to and feel more at ease with things like vision board activities.
But before you do either of those or something altogether different I encourage you to ask yourself these two questions:
This one mindfulness practice can bring you more abundance, joy and fulfillment just by knowing what things you don’t want.
So before you make your list of resolutions that sound good on paper and meets the expectations of others, ask yourself these two questions:
1. Do I still need to protect myself from _______ or have I learned to better recognize things that don’t serve me & am able to exercise healthy boundaries?
2. What am I holding on to that I enjoy but doesn’t serve me?
Some things we hold onto are old outdated barriers we set up to protect ourselves from things that previously hurt us.
Even things we love like our favorite foods are worth releasing if they’re wreaking havoc on your health.
Try it out for yourself, what were your answers?
Share them with me and others in the comments below!
Not only will the answers give you the clarity to better see what you no longer need, but by sharing you’ll impact and encourage others.
This practice is great for personal use, but it’s also amazing to share with friends and family. So if you found this helpful please share it! It can mean the world to someone and me!

This blog was meant for me! I’m weaning myself from being that, “Yes, I’ll do it, no problem” person everyone relies on. I’m getting rid of anything that is of no benefit to me in this season of my life and that includes relationships. So glad I read this, just another confirmation. Be Blessed
Oh! I Love when I get used a vessel and messenger Pat! I’m so you got confirmation that you’re on the right path. I hope I can continue to support you on your journey of releasing and making room for what you do desire. If there’s a topic you’d like to see me post on just drop it in a reply.
